New Innovative Lean Leadership Course Launched For First-Time Managers

Blended learning program equips operations leaders with practical skills for immediate impact

Click2 learn, a world-class online training provider, has announced the launch of its highly anticipated Lean Leadership course.

Designed specifically for first-line managers, team leaders, and those newly promoted to supervisory roles, the blended learning programme provides a comprehensive development journey to uplevel leadership capabilities.

The Lean Leadership course aims to bridge the gap for the accidental manager, those who have become a leader without any formal training. In a survey undertaken by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) 82% of managers had not received formal training.

Through interactive eLearning modules, practical workplace assignments, and optional coaching, learners on the new course gain expertise in core management disciplines underpinned by proven Lean methodology.

Kate Scane, Business Development Manager for click2 learn said: “This is an essential programme for anyone who has found themselves leading a team without prior leadership training – which we know is incredibly common. An individual contributor may excel at their functional role but struggle with managing people, which requires an entirely different skill set.”

The programme’s blended approach enables learners to apply concepts in real-time while receiving expert guidance. Modules cover vital skills like running effective meetings, understanding team performance metrics, giving constructive feedback, cultivating a positive culture, and identifying opportunities to streamline processes by eliminating waste.

Upon completing the 10 hours of eLearning, six hours of workplace assignments, and supplemental coaching, first-time managers can expect improved communication abilities, increased team engagement and morale, and a continuous improvement mindset. The knowledge positions them for greater career impact and advancement.

“Successful organisations are always seeking to improve, and developing strong leadership is one of the most impactful ways to facilitate that,” added Kate. “Bringing in consultants can be costly, so click2 learn’s online programmes provide a scalable solution to build critical competencies across an entire workforce,” she said.

Click2learn’s parent company, Develop Consulting, a leading management firm specialising in Lean principles, methodology and implementation, ensured the Lean Leadership curriculum aligns with industry best practices. This pedigree, combined with click2 learn’s expertise in virtual training, creates a potent professional development experience.

The Lean Leadership course is available for enrolment from Monday, May 6, with opportunities for free previews.

The programme’s flexible online delivery makes it an ideal training solution across industries like manufacturing, healthcare, professional services and more. Its scalable nature allows organisations to deliver impactful leadership skills to managers company-wide.
