Award-winning event host recommends all SMEs come to productivity event

Award-winning MC to host free talk for business leaders in the West Midlands

May 5, 2023
An award-winning MC is set to host a free-to-attend seminar taking place this month which is designed to help SMEs in the West Midlands survive the economic downturn.

Dave Sharpe, who has worked with the Royal Family, senior members of government and hosted numerous events in his career, will be heading up the morning which will feature some key industry leaders from the West Midlands.

The BBC Broadcaster is urging businesses from the region to sign up to the event which is being held at South & City College Birmingham’s Longbridge Campus on May 17.

The talk, titled ‘Productivity or Bust: Why productivity is vital for SMEs to survive’ will be an essential guide for businesses who need to achieve more with less and navigate through uncertain times ahead. Visitors to the morning will discover essential techniques to optimise processes, engage employees and unlock productivity throughout their organisations, helping them stay competitive in these challenging financial times.

Dave said: “The event is being run by eLearning company click2 learn along with the college, but will also feature some top business speakers and improvement experts from the region. It really will be an invaluable occasion so people don’t just hear their forecast for the coming months, but also what can be done about it, skills training available and also funding that is on offer.

“With SMEs facing numerous challenges in the current climate, they must focus on productivity to survive and thrive. The experts I’m interviewing know exactly how to navigate through tricky times and will share their top tips and strategies for success. I urge businesses to take up this unique opportunity to be in the room with some of the best experts for learning and continuous improvement that you can find in the region – and best of all, it’s free,” he added.

Dan Briscoe, Managing Director of click2 learn added: “We are excited to have such a established and respected MC to guide us through the speakers we have lined up on the morning’s event, and so hope that everyone who attends will be able to garner some invaluable information which will help them through these uncertain economic times.”

Also confirmed to be speaking at the event is Darren Jones, Environment and Sustainability Director of award winning Sonihull Ultrasonic. Mr Jones will be speaking about how an individual’s productivity can directly impact that of the region.

Rebecca Waterfield, Director of Business Development, at South City College, where the event will be held, added: “There is still time to sign up and we hope to see many faces from key industries within the West Midlands come along to the free talk which will absolutely add value to your day.”

Networking opportunities will be available at the start and end of the session, with the morning starting at 8.30am and running until 11.30am.
