Panellists announced for upcoming webinar – ‘Why NHS Projects Fail: Your Essential Guide to Making It Right.’

The speakers who will be headlining the upcoming webinar ‘Why NHS Projects Fail: Your Essential Guide to Making It Right’ have been announced.

The free event, which takes place on Thursday, March 21 from noon, promises to show invaluable insights into the challenges and some solutions related to project delivery within the NHS.

The event, which will be chaired by Darren Jones, who has held Non Executive Director roles within the NHS for the past 15 years, will include speakers working within the NHS and on project delivery who will be sharing their expertise.

Sophie Edkins, Associate Director of Transformation at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, brings 12 years of experience in healthcare, specialising in transformation and improvement. Trained as a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, Sophie has successfully led cross-organisational change programmes in the NHS and wider public sector and government industries. Her passion lies in improving health and care, actively supporting the frontline in delivering transformational change.

Michael Shaw, an Independent Consultant, Advisor, Coach, and Strategic Leader, contributes a wealth of experience in organisational development and change across complex environments. Spanning both public and commercial sectors, including the NHS and FMCG, Michael holds an NHS Leadership Academy Award in Healthcare Executive Leadership from the University of Birmingham. He has published thought papers on transformation, change, and leadership.

Steve Boam, the CEO of Develop Consulting, brings over 20 years of consultancy experience, having started his career at Toyota in the UK and Japan. As an Engineer at Toyota, Steve gained a thorough understanding of TPS and Toyota Thinking Principles. Under Steve’s leadership, Develop Consulting played a pivotal role in creating national programmes such as the ‘Productive Series’ and more recently GPIP (General Practice Improvement Programme) which has supported approaching 50% of English practices to improve operations, capacity and patient access and care.

Dan Briscoe, MD and Lean Trainer of click2 learn, boasts a strong background in delivering Lean improvement projects across various organisations and sectors. Click2 learn is currently gearing up to launch its training programme for Practical Project Management and Delivering Effective Projects in the NHS.
