Unveiling the Future of Leadership Training survey

Recently, click2 learn set out to find out the future of leadership training through a comprehensive survey.

The aim was to tailor our courses to shape the evolving landscape of leadership development. In response to valuable feedback on its Continuous Improvement programme and Practical Problem Solving training, the e-learning platform are now gearing up to support aspiring team leaders in their journey towards effective management and leadership.

The future of leadership survey revealed a pressing need for leadership skills across various styles, ranging from motivation and inspiration to adept team management. Around 80% of businesses expressed a desire for skills encompassing different leadership styles, effective team motivation, leading by example, and enhanced communication abilities such as active listening, constructive feedback delivery, and managing challenging conversations. Moreover, businesses sought guidance on people management, including understanding team dynamics, handling diverse teams, and resolving conflicts. Leaders also highlighted the importance of coaching and mentoring, time management, delegation, and mental health and well-being.

Kate Scane, Business Develop Manager at click2 learn said the findings were interesting and would shape how the future would be for their courses.

“It’s been so helpful in us reviewing the survey’s insightful feedback, The results confirm our suspicions about the widespread need for support in leadership and management. The survey showcased a common challenge faced by individuals climbing the ranks – frequently lacking formal management training and expected to intuitively grasp leadership dynamics. Excelling in specific roles does not necessarily translate to mastering leadership skills – it’s an entirely different ball game,” she said.

The online training company will be working towards creating more engaging, bespoke training to help businesses transform and also create the leaders of tomorrow.
